History of Baron's Food
The story of Baron's Food began in Southwest Finland 1986 when the quality meat company Maskun Laatuliha Oy was founded. The business started out small, but the idea of never compromising on high-quality service was a key part of our company culture even then. The company's growth hit its stride first in 2006 as Jaakko Mulari joined.
The company was renamed Baron's Food Ltd in 2007. In 2008, the operations expanded to the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and the City of Tampere, and in 2012, our company was operating in all of Finland.
Growth from a business acquisition
Baron's Food Ltd acquired the HoReCa operations of Oy Chipsters Food Ab in February 2021. This was followed by a move to Kerava, Southern Finland, from where we continue to serve our customers to this day. In the acquisition, Baron's obtained a great deal of fish expertise, a number of loyal customers, and a customer service approach that fits out culture perfectly.
New CEO, new direction
In 2022, the long-serving CEO of Baron's Food, Jaakko Mulari, wanted to focus on developing our selection and nurturing our customer relations. Now, our new CEO is Petri Welling, an esteemed professional in the wholesale business. This development-positive visionary and his team are developing the company to become a specialised wholesaler focused on meat, fish, and fruit & vegetables.
Our cornerstones
Baron's Food Ltd has always been known for our focus on customers and our reliability, and the future Baron's Food will be built on the same foundation. Quality, service and reliable delivery will remain the cornerstones for which we want to be known, moving forward.
